You can't backup the transaction logs in order to truncate them while the move is in process and you risk running out of disk space during the move. The only effective way of dealing with this is to temporarily enable circular logging during the move and disabling it again after the move. Like the poster above said, use an exchange aware backup application the builtin windows backup is exchange aware and it will remove the log files that are no longer needed.

I wouldn't recommned circular logging if that server hosts mailboxes though as circular logging won't help you if you need to do an emergency databse rebuild.

I do have another issue with a different Exchange deployment though. Therefore the load is not high enough to justify such a huge number of logs.
