Restarted the launcher and crashed upon pressing play again. It's just not working. Ya, tried to restart aswell, and still not working, crashes as soon I hit start Maybe try "remove" those updates. And btw, its just GW2 that crashes, tried other games and had no problem. So must be windows update and related to GW2 some how. Same here. Game worked fine yesterday, but after today's patch, I get an instant crash when pressing "Play" from the launcher.
Having same issue here. Soon as I hit Play the GW2 symbol flashes on my start menu bar and then disappears with nothing happening leaving me staring at my desktop.
Literally every game I have works except this one Help with a fix please. I also went into my GeForce Experience and did a scan for games to optimize. All other games are being found and updated with the optimizer except GW I had two issues, corsair link 4 and gw2 after I did a DxDiag.
But I dont have issues with other games cept GW2 so something must be related to this game and that new update.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling now however the reinstall fails and just keeps doing the 0kb thing and closing I've also tried some of the suggestions in this thread as well to no result. I had the same problem. Arenanet has problematic server Check it yourself with cmd prompt ping guildwars2. Be aware, you can not ping Amazon servers. Not unless you do some special adjustments. I don't want to try method 3 because I'm not the one who pays for the internet connection at home.
Thank you though for helping me. I had to much stuff in my cache. Do you mind telling me how you fixed it? I'm having a similar issue except at , files remaining. Inculpatus cedo. I have Windows 10 so I'm not sure if this will work for you. I went to users, my name, appdata, temp, and then gw2cache with a bunch of random numbers and letters on the folder. Inside is the data your game has saved over the days. What I did was delete that data then reinstalled my game.
It's not fun, but it tends to work. I hope this helps you. However what you heard in previous comments above may help too.
